The price isn't here. What it's made of, is.
Four things, and only one of them is ours
| Item | What it is | Who it goes to |
|---|---|---|
| What you pay the factory for your product. It goes straight to them: we don't add a margin on top or hide a commission inside the unit price. | To the factory | |
| Sea or air depending on urgency and volume. It's the carrier's or airline's rate and it moves with the season: it rises in the Chinese high season, and nobody controls that. | To the carrier or airline | |
| Duty, ITBIS and DGA charges. Your product's tariff classification defines it, not us. We tell you which applies before you buy, not once the cargo is already at the port. | To the State and the customs broker | |
| Factory sourcing and vetting, purchase management, inspection, consolidation and shipping coordination. It's the only thing we charge for and it always sits on its own line. | To Axira |
How ours is worked out
A percentage of the purchase
When we manage the whole purchase, our work is charged as a percentage of the value of the goods at the factory. It's agreed before we start and doesn't change mid-operation. Or a flat fee for a single service
If you only need a factory vetted or a production inspected that you've already bought, that's charged as a separate service, at a fixed fee. And it's charged in stages
We don't ask for everything up front. The fee is split between the start and the close of the operation, so your money and our incentive point the same way.
What's always included
The itemised quote, with the four items kept separate Communication in English with a person who has a name Your operation tracked by stage, with dates Receipts for the pass-through costs we hand on to you
What isn't included
The cost of the goods, the freight and the taxes: those are yours and go separately Extra storage if the cargo sits at the port for something outside our control Changes to the order after the factory has started production Cargo insurance, which is contracted separately and which we recommend taking
What people ask and almost nobody answers
Because there isn't just one. Bringing a container from a factory you already know doesn't cost the same as finding you three new factories, vetting them and inspecting two productions. Publishing a single number would mean overcharging half our clients. What we do is tell you yours before you start, and in writing.
No. We charge one side only: yours. If we charged both, we'd have an incentive to take you to the factory that pays us best, not the one that serves you best.
Yes, and it happens often. Some clients already have their factory and only hire us for the inspection before shipping. Every service can be taken on its own.
We tell you as soon as we know, with the new number and the choice of waiting or shipping. Freight is the carrier's rate: we don't set it and we don't hide it inside another line.
