Axira came out of one concrete frustration: importing from China was a black box. You paid, you waited and you prayed. We stationed ourselves in the middle of that box.

Distance is where the money gets lost

The average Dominican importer has no way of knowing whether the factory that answered their email actually exists. They don't speak the language, they can't go and see it, and often whoever is selling them the container never set foot in that plant either.Buying in China from here means buying from someone you can't go and see. Axira puts people on both sides: in Santo Domingo you talk to us in your language, and in Shanghai we talk to whoever manufactures.Starting is a conversation. You tell us what you want to bring in, how much and by when; we bring you vetted factories, with price and minimum order, and you know what it costs before you move a peso.We're not a big company. We're a close one, which is different: when you write, the person who answers already knows how your cargo is doing and doesn't make you tell the story again.
Where we are

Two shores, one conversation

There are twelve hours between Santo Domingo and Shanghai. Used well they work in your favour: while you sleep, someone is talking to your factory.

  • Santo Domingo

    This is where you do the talking. We quote, we keep you posted, we coordinate clearance with your agent and we put the cargo in your warehouse — in your language, and always with the same person at the other end of the email.

  • Shanghai

    That's where we do the talking. We negotiate with the factory in its own language, follow production, inspect before the container is closed and coordinate consolidation. You don't write to anyone at three in the morning.

    We design the service so you get clarity and answers, not excuses. If something can't be done, we say so and put the alternative beside it.

    We confirm, coordinate and follow through until the cargo is in your warehouse. We don't let go halfway.

    We look after documentation, dates and communication. And when the mistake is ours, we tell you before you notice it.

  • Every shipment teaches something

    Routes, costs, quality control, timings. What we learned on your March container gets applied to September's.
